How it works

The FindPetrolPrices website relies on its users to update the various petrol prices stored within its database.

1. Perform a search. This can be done by entering a city name or a postcode.

2. On your results page a list of the service stations that match your search are identified.

3. The unleaded petrol price at each of these service stations is displayed on screen.

4. If you agree that a price is correct, we would like you to press the verify button. When a price has been verified by 5 users, the price will be displayed in green. This is a very good indicator that the price you are seeing on the website is correct.

5. If you disagree with a listed price, you have the option to alter it. Type the new price into the update column and click update. Your update will initially be displayed in red on the website. Once other users have agreed that the price is correct and verified it, it will then turn green.

This site is designed to be fast, and friendly to use. It is free, and no sign-up is required.
